Two boats … in one
The sporty and adventurous Riviera SUV series opens up a whole new world of boating enjoyment for both the avid angler and cruising entertainer.
Indeed, our valued owners tell us it’s a lot like having two boats … in one. The SUV series is the perfect pairing of two legendary designs, each with its own formidable pedigree … and while its name has automotive origins, this very versatile range of Riviera has been created with ‘the ultimate boating adventure’ foremost in mind.
The result, of course, is a crossover vessel like no other – one which combines the high-performance, blue-water cruising and fish-raising abilities of the classic Riviera Flybridge, and the single-level, leisurely entertaining features of our very popular Sport Yacht design. The Riviera SUV series truly is … the best of both worlds.
The new 575 SUV has many clever design features such as the sleek, low profile hardtop with two large manually sliding sunroof hatches, which bring an abundance of natural light and fresh air into the saloon. There is great all round visibility from the helm. The raised seating area in the saloon and the large opening side windows provide a real indoor-outdoor feel.
The commanding helm station to port has plenty of room for electronics including three display screens, controls and the Volvo joystick. There are four high-quality helm chairs, three of which swivel 180 degrees to extend the seating capacity of this vast entertaining area.
The saloon features an L-shaped lounge and dining area to port with storage below. The dining table swivels 90 degrees and drops down level with the lounge to create a chaise lounge or double bed with cushion insert.
On the starboard side there is a three seater starboard side lounge which lifts up to reveal more storage below.
The aft galley features the most modern appliances with drawer refrigeration, convection microwave oven, optional drawer dishwasher, four plate cooktop with extraction hood, top loading garbage bin, overhead storage lockers, all drawers have soft close runners, and Corian benchtops throughout with infills over the sink create extra bench space.
A large awning window and glass sliding door opens the saloon and galley into the cockpit area, creating one enormous entertainment space.
Adjacent to the galley is the bar area, which features Corian benchtops, a second bank of double drawer refrigeration and an ice maker, plus glass and drinks storage, and the concealed television that raises and lowers on electric rams.
A key design feature that sets the 575 apart is the expansive and uncluttered cockpit space with plenty of storage including, an insulated fish bin to starboard, plus clever storage beneath the engine room hatch – simply raise the hinged cockpit floor and the two large fore and aft fish/storage bins lift with the deck whilst a third square storage compartment is revealed.
