The Gold Coast turned on the weather last Friday as the first boating event of the year for R Marine Crawley, set off from Runaway Bay.

With perfect conditions, social activities and a relaxing weekend by the water planned, it wasn’t long until the group anchored up at Dux and tendered to shore for an afternoon rendezvous.
Dave Pollock owner of Hokus Pokus a Riviera SUV 5000 spoke to the team about how the simple things in life have the most memorable impact.

Witnessing some great performances from both Team R Marine Crawley and Team Riviera Owners, the afternoon “20/20 Big Bash” session concluded in a friendly draw.
Enjoying a BBQ lunch at the exclusive picnic area on Dux, people whiled away the afternoon; watching the sun go down, (on what was a fantastic first day) making new friends, reminiscing with old friends and sharing boating experiences, by the water.
Saturday morning’s perfect weather delighted the Riviera group with postcard memories.
Ben said; “I’d gladly try to replicate mornings like this, time and time again”.
Tendering across for breakfast at Tipplers; it wasn’t long before the group were back onboard, casting off for an easy cruise to Horseshoe Bay, Peel Island.
This picture perfect backdrop set the scene for topical discussions across the beach, none more welcoming than the comradery expressed by many of the owners.

Sunday came around way too quickly, but it wasn’t without a quick trip to the Tangalooma Wrecks for some swimming and snorkelling.
